Hope Huskey – Associate Director, Sequoyah Fund, Inc.

Hope became a REAL facilitator in 2008 when she attended the Institute in Hilton Head, SC. As Associate Director at Sequoyah Fund, she is in charge of all programming, including credit counseling, our annual Youth Entrepreneur Summer Camp, and the Authentically Cherokee art marketing program. Hope holds a Masters of Project Management from Western Carolina University.

Tonya Wilson Snider – Owner, TenBiz, Inc.

Tonya began her entrepreneurial support career as a counselor with the SBTDC at Western Carolina University. After a stint as a regional director with Mountain BizWorks, she became the Western NC Associate Director with NC REAL, Inc. Tonya attended her first Institute in 2012. Since then, she has led numerous certification Institutes and other training workshops. Her business, TenBiz, Inc., offers training, coaching, and consulting to small businesses and organizations with an emphasis on building entrepreneurial skills. Tonya holds a Masters of Business Administration from Western Carolina University.


Russ Seagle, Executive Director, Sequoyah Fund, Inc.

Russ has been a REAL facilitator since 1999 when he was certified in Boone, NC. During his nearly 12 years as Small Business Center Director for Southwestern Community College, he spent a couple of years as a REAL Master Facilitator supporting and coaching REAL facilitators all across western NC. Russ has served as both facilitator and director for numerous Institutes in North Carolina and Illinois. He currently serves as REAL’s Chief Evangelist, spreading the good news of REAL far and wide. Russ holds a Masters of Business Administration from Western Carolina University.

Pete Ellis – Owner, Montana Bear, LLC

After 20 years in various management capacities with American Airlines, Pete went into private business in 1995, first as an airline consultant, and later starting three separate businesses. Two of them, an independent automotive dealership and a real estate company, are still in operation by their new owners. In 2007, Pete opened Montana Bear, LLC to assist people who wish to invest in real estate, and on the entrepreneurial side to consult with the expansion of existing businesses. In addition, he has worked in the North Carolina Community College System, as a business counselor, presenter, and REAL facilitator.
