Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, NC (airport code CLT) is the closest airport at approximately 90 minutes away and is served by all major airlines.
Blowing Rock is a beautiful mountain town with a rich history of tourism, but it's also remote. If you'll be flying in, plan to rent a car to get you up the mountain. You'll have some time during the week to enjoy a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, visit nearby Boone (home to Appalachian State University), tour the Moses Cone Flattop Manor house and estate, shop, and enjoy other area amenities.
